Hello Everyone!

Yes I am back... and my how things have changed!

I recently (2 weeks ago) acquired 2 brother kittens, Mel and Harvey. They are both orange and crazy, with claws that they can climb up your pants with, and absolutely no respect for my personal safety.

They sleep on my chest about half of the night and the rest of the time try to find ways to wake me up, until I am up, and then they want to sleep again. And the poop that these two produce...holey moley, like a litter box full every other day, it is ridiculous.

But I am having a great time and enjoy the company. I keep whispering in their ears to attack anyone who enters that is not me, but don't worry... people came over this weekend and they were complete pansies. (by pansies I mean adorable, the kind of kittens mice aren't afraid of).

Anyway, I am really studying their personalities...so here goes:

Mel: Sweet, lovable, and cute. The calmer of the two cats and if I was an old lady, the better. He is respectful, tends to not enjoy knocking stuff over, will back away when I tell him he is not needed in the bathroom with a slow brushing of my foot, and has two coats of hair one that is a soft short cut, and then another longer cut, and looks like a little fuzzball when the light is just right. He likes to sleep near my chin and enjoys licking my closed eyelid for some reason. He fights well, but normally does not provoke Harvey.

And Harvey: A real jerk. He is constantly looking to destroy things and make a racket. He will hide behind the toilet when I am trying to push him out of the bathroom. If I stop him before he slides behind the toilet he will wait for my foot to push him back as far as my balance allows and as soon as I stop he starts back in again. He also will wait for Mel to be distracted and then jump on his back and wrestle him to the ground. Once on the ground he will jump in the air, do a 180 and land on top of Mel, and bite his ear until Mel whines. I have seen on a number of occasions Harvey attack Mel in the litterbox. Harvey is also fearless and the more curious of the two. Harvey prefers licking my nose and earlobes.

That is enough about my cats for right now, I am sure there will be more stories to follow.
