I have had such a crazy couple a weeks, but mostly my internet was out.
Yesterday my friend and I formed The Justice Committee at work. I printed out a flier that stated our agenda-
1. Better Ways to Spend Your Lunch Break
2. Smoker Harassment...Has it Gone Too far?
3. New Ways to Eradicate Workplace Yawning.
4. Injustice... Is it Necessary?
And posted it in a high traffic area of our department.
I went to HR and asked for the "Committee Application" so that we could become legitimate, but was told a) that we don't have a "Committee Application", and b) The Justice Committee will never be a legitimate committee no matter how much I threaten to picket during my lunch break. I was then told sternly to remove the flier from it's spot.

We already have a Wellness Committee, and a Disaster Committee.
The Wellness Committee:
Every other week they meet in a dark room, I've seen it (our department's representative was sick one week, and I got the nod). In this dark room they discuss new ways to make the company eat better, exercise and quit smoking.
We just finished a 4 week Fruit and Veggie challenge...really.
They also put up a poster that said...(Frowning Baby) "Go ahead and smoke...I don't have to breathe." *on a side note, the poster was ripped down recently by one of the night workers, followed by a company wide email threatening termination if any further company property was damaged.
The Disaster Committee:
I have never been to a meeting, but have heard they are focused solely on how the company could prepare itself to continue running if there happens to be a catastrophe.
To their credit, we are close to a major airport... but on the flip side, we have all been warned that sometime in the next couple of weeks we will have a fire drill. They have even placed permanent metal signs in certain areas of the parking lot where the different departments have to meet for a head count. If we have heads.
The Justice Committee:
We are underground thus far, but one day Justice will reign.
With a heavy hand.

I'm thrilled our blog-master returned with an update. What's next?
Fantastic! Though I'm a little confused as to the methods of the Justice Committee, I agree that it will reign. Welcome back Happy-Go-Lucky, you were missed.
